11:26. Steering mechanism

 Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports. Remove forward wheels.
2. Remove a cable and the thermal screen from the top part of the steering mechanism. In the presence, release a bracket of fastening and disconnect the electric socket from the case of a gear wheel of the steering mechanism.
3. Unscrew nuts of fastening of spherical hinges of steering thirsts for a rotary fist and take spherical hinges from rotary fists.
4. Apply with paint or a marker combination tags on an intermediate shaft and a gear wheel of the steering mechanism. Unscrew tightening a bolt (1) and a nut. At installation it is necessary to use a new nut (2 – the electric socket, 3 – pipes).
5. Using G-shaped clips, press the giving and returnable hoses to the amplifier of steering.
6. Unscrew nuts of the giving and returnable pipe of the amplifier of steering from the steering mechanism.
7. Exempt fastening of pipes of the steering mechanism with the amplifier from brackets of fastening and shift them from the steering mechanism aside.
8. Unscrew bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism (are specified by shooters) and take the laying located between the steering mechanism and the lower frame.
9. Take a gear wheel of the steering mechanism from an intermediate shaft and take the steering mechanism from under the car.

Repair

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the steering mechanism for wear and damages. Check that the gear lath moves freely to all length of the course. Check a side play between a gear wheel of the steering mechanism and a gear lath. Check all hydraulic connections for leak.
2. Repair of the steering mechanism needs to be made at the station. It is independently possible to make only replacement of protective covers of the steering mechanism, spherical hinges of steering drafts and steering drafts.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the steering mechanism into place, having combined a gear wheel of the steering mechanism with an intermediate shaft taking into account earlier made tags.
2. Insert laying between the lower frame and the steering mechanism. Insert bolts of fastening of the steering mechanism and tighten them the required moment.
3. Connect pipes of the amplifier of steering and tighten connecting nuts the required moment. Fix pipes by brackets and remove clips from hoses.
4. Establish tightening a bolt of an intermediate shaft and a new nut. Tighten them the required moment.
5. Install spherical hinges of steering draft in rotary fists and fix them by new nuts.
6. Connect the electric socket and the thermal screen to the steering mechanism. Establish wheels and lower the car.
7. Add liquid in a tank and remove air from hydraulic system.
8. Check and, if necessary, adjust the angles of installation of wheels.
