11:13. Shock-absorber of a back suspension bracket

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On models the sedan (Saloon) remove an upholstery of the luggage compartment for what by means of the lever take the central part of a percussion cap and turn off finishing of the luggage compartment for access to the top fastening of the shock-absorber (the arrow specified a nut of the top fastening).
2. On models of a komba (Estate) open a back door and remove finishing of the luggage compartment from the required party for what unscrew screws and remove a back plate of finishing.
3. Then by means of the lever take the central part of percussion caps of fastening, remove a plastic pocket and displace finishing of the luggage compartment for access to fastening of the top part of the shock-absorber (the arrow specified a nut of the top fastening of the back shock-absorber on the Estate models).
4. Lift a back part of the car and record on supports. Remove the corresponding back wheel.
5. Using a jack, lift the lower lever until the cylindrical spring of a back suspension bracket is not slightly compressed.
6. In the luggage compartment unscrew the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber and remove the top rubber washer.
7. From below the car unscrew the lower bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber and take from under the car the shock-absorber with rubber elements of installation and an emphasis. Remove a dustproof cover and an emphasis from the shock-absorber.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Check the shock-absorber for tightness and mechanical damages.
2. Moving a shock-absorber rod, check uniformity of its course.
3. Resistance to movement of a rod of the shock-absorber in both directions has to be uniform and smooth. If movement unevenly, or on the shock-absorber there are visible damages, it needs to be replaced.
4. It is also necessary to check a condition of rubber pillows.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Grease an installation site of the lower bolt of fastening of the shock-absorber with means of Molykote G Rapide Plus.
2. Install an emphasis and a dustproof cover on the shock-absorber.
3. Completely take a rod of the shock-absorber and install the shock-absorber in the car. From the luggage compartment establish a rubber pillow on a shock-absorber rod and on several turns wrap the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber.
4. Combine the lower part of the shock-absorber with an installation site on the lower lever, establish a bolt and screw on it a new nut, without tightening finally.
5. Tighten the top nut of fastening of the shock-absorber the required moment and establish finishing of the luggage compartment.
6. Establish a back wheel and lower the car. Shake the car in order that elements of a back suspension bracket rose on the places. After that tighten the required moment the lower bolt of fastening of the back shock-absorber.
