11:24. Intermediate shaft of a steering column

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a steering column.
2. Lift a forward part of the car and record on supports.
3. Apply combination tags on an intermediate shaft and a gear wheel of the steering mechanism. Unscrew a tightening nut and a bolt of fastening of an intermediate shaft. At installation use a new nut.
4. Unscrew 3 nuts fixing a sheeting of an intermediate shaft to a partition of a motor compartment.
5. From an internal part of the car shift a sheeting from an intermediate shaft and remove an intermediate shaft from the steering mechanism.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check an intermediate shaft for wear and damages. If there is a damage of a rubber sheeting, it needs to be replaced.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Combine the tags put before removal of an intermediate shaft and pull an intermediate shaft over a gear wheel of the steering mechanism.
2. Establish a rubber sheeting on an intermediate shaft on a partition of a motor compartment.
3. From under the car establish tightening a bolt of an intermediate shaft and fix it by a new nut, having tightened it the required moment.
4. Establish and tighten nuts of fastening of a sheeting.
5. Establish a steering column.
