5.2.20. Check of a turbocharger

GENERAL INFORMATION

The turbocharger is not subject to repair and is replaced as the whole unit.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. On the removed turbocharger examine the turbocharger case on existence of cracks and other damages.
2. Turn the turbine with the maximum speed and check that the turbine rotates evenly. Check a condition of blades of the turbine and a wheel of the compressor.
3. If exhaust channels are polluted by oil, perhaps, oil consolidation of a shaft of a turbocharger failed.
