GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

When checking work of fuel nozzles never hold up hands or any part of a body under the fuel stream leaving a nozzle. Fuel comes out a nozzle under high pressure and can get into a body through skin that can lead to a fatal outcome.

Check

Parameters of a nozzle worsen at long use and, most likely, they need to be repaired or replaced after 100 000 km of a run of the car. Check, capital repairs and calibration of nozzles have to be made by the expert.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Start the engine in the mode of the increased idling.
2. Consistently unscrew connections of the fuel pipeline to each nozzle. When unscrewing the pipeline on a serviceable nozzle power setting will change. When unscrewing the pipeline on a faulty nozzle power setting will not change.

Removal

Prevention

To remove a nozzle with the sensor of raising of a needle, the application of a special nest for ensuring movement of a wire of the sensor which is available at the Peugeot station is necessary.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove system of pipes of an air inlet and the top part of an inlet collector.
2. Carefully clear the place around nozzles and nuts of fastening of pipelines to nozzles.
3. Unscrew nuts of fastening of pipelines to nozzles. If necessary fuel tubes can be removed completely. Close the ends of nozzles for prevention of hit of dirt.
4. Remove returnable pipelines from nozzles.
5. Unscrew fuel pipes of nozzles from the fuel pump.
6. Unscrew nozzles from a head of the block of cylinders, using a special face key on 27 mm, and remove nozzles.
7. Remove copper washers from nozzles.
8. Take sealing washers from a head of the block of cylinders.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. At installation use new copper and sealing washers. Also install new plugs if old have damages.
2. During the work with nozzles be careful not to damage a nozzle needle.
3. At installation at first insert plugs into a head of the block of cylinders, then fire-resistant washers (camber up) and copper washers.
4. Insert nozzles and tighten them the required moment.
5. Establish fuel pipes on nozzles.
6. Repeatedly connect fuel return pipes.
7. Install system of pipes of an air inlet and the top part of an inlet collector.
8. Start the engine. If the engine is not started, remove air from fuel system.
