GENERAL INFORMATION

ELECTRONIC CONTROL DEVICE (ECU)

It is the main component of system, the managing director of timepoint of injection, the increased idling turns, glow plugs, system of repeated combustion of exhaust gases.

The ECU block receives signals from the sensors controlling temperature of cooling liquid, engine turns, work of a fuel nozzle and loading of the engine. These signals are used by the ECU block for management of system.

The ECU block is located in a plastic box which is installed on the right arch of a wheel.

Removal

Before removal of any of elements of fuel system disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator.

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover the ECU block (it is specified by an arrow).
2. Switch-off the electric socket, previously having lifted the lock lever in the top part of the socket.
3. Remove the socket from a back part, disconnect a forward part and remove the ECU block from pins.
4. Lift the ECU block up and remove it from a box.
5. If necessary remove ECU box, having unscrewed internal and external bolts of fastening.

Installation

Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

CRANKSHAFT RPM METER

The RPM meter of the crankshaft is located on the forward party of a case of coupling.

It is the inductive generator of impulses creating impulses when passing of teeths of a gear wreath of a flywheel about it.

TEMPERATRURA SENSOR OF COOLING LIQUID

The sensor of temperature of cooling liquid is a thermistor with negative temperature coefficient, that is at increase in temperature of the sensor its resistance decreases.

SENSOR OF ATMOSPHERIC PRESSURE

The sensor of atmospheric pressure is located in the ECU block. This sensor is used to regulate the moment of injection of fuel depending on height.

SENSOR OF ABSOLUTE PRESSURE

The sensor is an integral part of ECU and cannot be removed separately.

LOADING SENSOR

The loading sensor on the fuel pump of high pressure Bosch

The sensor (it is specified by an arrow) consists of a potentiometer whose resistance is measured depending on the provision of a pedal of an accelerator. According to this information of ECU can regulate the moment of injection of fuel depending on the provision of a pedal and engine loading.

The sensor of loading is installed in the top part of the fuel pump of high pressure. Though it can be removed separately, adjustment of position of the sensor after installation into place requires the special equipment Peugeot. Therefore replacement of this sensor has to be made at the Peugeot station.

SENSOR OF RAISING OF THE NEEDLE OF THE NOZZLE

The sensor of raising of a needle of a nozzle – an integral part of one of fuel nozzles which sends a signal to the ECU block when opening a nozzle.

CONTROL UNIT OF SYSTEM OF PRELIMINARY HEATING

This relay operated by the ECU block, connecting to the ECU block of a glow plug of system of prestarting heating for a certain time at start of the cold engine.

EGR-VALVE

Return of a part of exhaust gases to an inlet collector is run by the ECU block in combination with EGR the electromagnetic valve and the EGR valve. Vacuum from the vacuum pump goes to the EGR valve via the electromagnetic valve according to the frequency of rotation of the engine, loading and height.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. If in system there is a malfunction, check that all electric sockets are connected and are not oxidized.
2. Check that the filtering element of the air filter was pure, compression pressure in engine cylinders within norm and hoses of ventilation of the engine are not damaged.
3. If externally everything is all right, and malfunction is present at system, it is necessary to check fuel system for Peugeot stations.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Track an electrical wiring from the sensor to a connector of an electrical wiring and disconnect it from the main plait.
2. Remove the rubber condensing ring, unscrew bolts and take the sensor from a case.

Installation

Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.

CABLE AND DIAPHRAGM OF MANAGEMENT

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. For the best access remove an air inlet from a forward part of the engine.
2. Note the provision of a cable of management concerning the lever and disconnect a cable from the fuel pump of high pressure.
3. Remove a vacuum hose (A) from diaphragm knot (In – bolts of fastening of an arm).
4. Exempt a cable from fastening brackets, unscrew 2 bolts of fastening of an arm and remove an arm from a final collector.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
2. Adjust the raised idling turns.
