5.2.12. Installation of the moment of injection on TNVD Lucas

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Be careful that dirt did not get to the fuel pump or the pipeline of high pressure during the work on the fuel pump. Also it is always necessary to use new consolidation.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Disconnect the negative plug of the accumulator.
2. Remove the electronic control device of system of injection of fuel (ECU) and a box of the ECU block.
3. Remove system of inlet pipes and the top part of an inlet collector.
4. Take off an auxiliary driving belt.
5. Remove the generator of alternating current.
6. Unscrew bolts and remove an intermediate arm (the pump of the amplifier of steering and the generator) sideways of the block of cylinders.
7. Unscrew bolts of fastening of a plait of wires to the engine and move the fastener from the fuel pump aside. Perhaps, it is necessary to switch-off some electric sockets to move a plait of wires on sufficient distance. Mark all switched-off sockets.
8. Remove the casing of a gear belt of the drive closing a pulley of the fuel pump.
9. Install the gas distribution mechanism before combination of adjusting openings, then turn the crankshaft on a quarter of a turn counterclockwise.
10. Unscrew the cap from an opening of installation of the moment of injection located sideways the fuel pump. In the absence of a special adjusting core of Peugeot it is possible to use a short core with a diameter of 1.5 mm, one end of which conical.
11. Insert Peugeot core into an opening of installation of the moment of injection sideways of the fuel pump. Having slightly pressed on a core, slowly turn the crankshaft in the direction of its working rotation before installation of a core Peugeot in a groove in the internal mechanism of the pump.
12. Remove all tools and install the crankshaft in the provision of combination of adjusting openings then turn the crankshaft on a quarter of a turn.
13. Insert Peugeot core into an opening of installation of the moment of injection sideways of the fuel pump. Having slightly pressed on a core, slowly turn the crankshaft in the direction of its working rotation before installation of a core Peugeot in a groove in the internal mechanism of the pump. In this situation the mechanism of gas distribution is in the provision of installation, and the blocking cores have to be established in engine pulleys.
14. If it is necessary to make adjustment, take an adjusting core from the pump, turn the crankshaft in the provision of installation and block pulleys the blocking cores. Weaken forward and back bolts of fastening of the pump and move the pump from the engine. Insert the Peugeot installation core into an opening of installation of the moment of injection sideways of the pump, press a core of Peugeot and slowly turn the fuel pump to the engine until the core of Peugeot enters a groove of the internal mechanism of the pump.
15. Put the clamps and bolts of fastening of the pump the required moment.
16. Remove a core of the Peugeot installation and close an opening a cap.
17. Remove a core of blocking of the crankshaft.
18. Establish all earlier removed knots and details.
