8.2.7. Removal and installation of the electronic control device (ECU)

GENERAL INFORMATION

The ECU control unit is located the automatic transmission together with the control unit of the ECU engine in an ECU block box in the right forward side of a motor compartment near a broad tank of the cooling system.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Switch off ignition, open an ECU block box cover box. The control unit of the transmission is located closer to a car wing.
2. Lift the lock lever on the top part of the socket and switch-off the socket. Remove the socket in a back part, unhook a latch of a forward part and take the ECU block from the directing pins.
3. Remove the ECU block, lifting it up.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. If the new ECU block is installed, it is necessary to carry out a control trip under various road conditions in order that the scheme of management of the block adapted to transmission parameters.
