5.1.8. Fuel tank

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

During the work on fuel system it is necessary to take off previously pressure in system.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before removal of the fuel tank it is necessary to merge all fuel. Disconnect the electric socket from the fuel pump, and also fuel hoses.
2. Lift a back part of the car and fix it on supports.
3. Remove system of production of exhaust gases and the heat-resistant screen.
4. Remove on the right side of the fuel tank a pipe of a mouth (A) and сапун (In) (With – a pipe of removal of vapors).
5. Remove on the right side the giving and returnable hoses and muffle them traffic jams.
6. Take a cable of the emergency brake from fastenings and move it aside.
7. A jack prop up the fuel tank and unscrew its fastening (it is specified by an arrow).
8. Slowly lower the fuel tank and take it from under the car.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal. At the same time it is necessary to check that at installation of the fuel tank any of hoses was not pressed.
