3.1.9. Replacement of a sealing ring of a cam-shaft



When replacing a sealing ring of a cam-shaft it is necessary to protect a gear belt from hit of oil on it.

1. Remove a cam-shaft pulley(s). On models of engines 1.8 and 2.0 of liter remove pulleys and naves of pulleys.
2. Drill in a sealing ring two openings from two parties. In an opening screw in the self-cutting screws and flat-nose pliers extend a ring for heads of screws.
3. Clear a nest for a sealing ring.
4. Grease working edges of a new sealing ring with pure engine oil and establish a ring into place, using the corresponding tubular mandrel. At installation of a ring pay attention to correctness of an arrangement of working edges which have to be directed inside.
5. Establish a camshaft pulley.
