On all models the system of ignition is combined with system of injection of fuel and represents the integrated control system of the engine from one ECU block.
On the 1.6 liters engines the system of ignition consists 2 coils of ignition. Each coil of ignition actually consists of 2 separate high-voltage windings which give a spark to two cylinders everyone (one to cylinders No. 1 and 4, and another to cylinders No. 2 and 3). The impulse of ignition moves on two spark plugs for each cycle of the engine, one on a compression step, one on an exhaust step at once (the ignition spark on a step of an exhaust does not exert any impact on operation of the engine and therefore it is spent for nothing). ECU uses entrances from various sensors to calculate the required installation of an advancing of ignition and time of accumulation of energy in the ignition coil.
On the 1.8 and 2.0 liters engines the system of ignition consists of 2 modules of amplifiers and 4 coils of ignition. Each block of the amplifier of ignition operates two coils of ignition combined with candle tips and installed directly on spark plugs, one coil on a candle. It excludes application of high-voltage wires. ECU uses entrances from various sensors to calculate the required installation of an advancing of ignition and time of accumulation of energy in the ignition coil.
