11.5. Repair of a forward rack

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove a forward rack from the car and clear of dirt. Using special adaptation, squeeze a spring so that its top cup unloaded.

Prevention

When using special device for compression of springs you watch that rounds of a spring were reliably taken, you make compression of a spring from the opposite sides. The spring has very big effort of compression therefore use only very reliable tool. Do not connect a spring by a wire at all.

The central nut of fastening can be unscrewed only at the compressed spring.


2. Record from a provorachivaniye a shock-absorber rod a key and, using the second cap key, unscrew the central nut of fastening of a rod of the shock-absorber.
3. Remove a plate (the top part of a forward rack).
4. Remove laying and the top nest of a spring.
5. Remove a cylindrical spring.
6. Remove a washer from the top part of a forward rack.
7. Clear a protective cover and a rubber emphasis.
8. Remove the lower nest of a spring.
9. Check all elements of a depreciation rack for wear, damages or deformation. Check smoothness of the course of a rod of the shock-absorber. Check the shock-absorber for tightness, and also its rod on pointed corrosion on all length.
10. Establish the lower nest of a spring on a rack and pull a rubber emphasis on a shock-absorber rod. Establish a protective cover and a washer. At the same time the lower end of a protective cover needs to be installed on the shock-absorber case.
11. Establish a cylindrical spring so that its lower end correctly settled down in a spring nest. Establish the top nest of a spring so that its top end was established in dredging of the top nest of a spring (shooter). Establish laying and the top plate.
12. Establish a washer and screw a new nut on a shock-absorber rod.
