11:23. Steering column

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the negative plug from the accumulator.
2. Remove a steering wheel. On cars with a safety cushion remove contact from the top part of a steering column.
3. On all models remove the switch from the top part of a steering column.
4. Open a key block of an immobilizer.
5. Turn a clip on 90 ° and lower a cover of a box with fuses.
6. Disconnect the electric socket from a key block, unscrew screws and remove the lower finishing of the dashboard.
7. Disconnect the socket from the lock of the ignition located on ignition lock wires.
8. Unscrew a bolt (it is specified by an arrow) and remove a suspension bracket of fastening of electric wires to a steering column.
9. Block a steering column, having pressed the blocking button on the basis of a shaft of a steering column.
10. Using paint or a marker, put combination tags between the universal hinge of a steering column and an intermediate shaft. Unscrew tightening a bolt (it is specified by an arrow).
11. Unscrew fastening bolts (are specified by shooters) the top part of a steering column.
12. Shifting a column up, take it from the car.

Check

PERFORMANCE ORDER
Check a condition of a steering column for damages and wear. Check a side play of a steering shaft in plugs of a steering column and a condition of universal hinges.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Before installation of a steering column, remove a clamp of a nut of a tightening bolt (it is specified by an arrow) and remove an old nut. Establish a new nut in a clamp and establish it together with a clamp on a steering column.
2. Combine the tags put before removal, and install the universal hinge of a steering column on an intermediate shaft.
3. Pull a steering column over an intermediate shaft and establish into place. Fix a steering column by bolts, having tightened them the required moment.
4. Establish tightening a bolt of the universal hinge and tighten it the required moment.
5. Further installation is made in the sequence, the return to removal.
